Shared Decision Making

The 2nd Annual Shared Governance Day at Catawba Valley Medical Center was held on May 27th, 2008.  CVMC was proud to have Dr. Tim Porter O’Grady join us again to “Review, Rejuvenate and Re-Dedicate” as we continue on our Shared Governance journey. The day was a great success for Shared Governance!  It was also a wonderful experience for everyone who took the time to explore the displays of the accomplishments of each Shared Governance Council as well as enjoy some food, drinks, fun, and games.

As chair of the Nurse Practice Council, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Unit Based Shared Governance Councils for the exceptional work they do.  As evidenced by the wonderful poster displays, the councils are working to improve nursing practice at CVMC.
