Day Surgery, Anesthesia & PACU Nursing Research Team

The Research and  EBP Council has developed and continues to expand the evidence-based nursing practice program at Catawba Valley Medical Center.  Associate, bachelor, and master-prepared nurses in positions of direct care and leadership comprise the Council’s membership.  Dr. Rebecca Tart, Director for Research and Evidence-Based Practice advises the Council.

CVMC is a nonprofit community hospital, not a large academic medical center.  However, we are committed to providing nurses the necessary resources to lead and participate in clinical research studies through the Department for Research and EBP.  The Department provides assistance for evidence-based practice project and primary research studies including design, proposal development, data analysis, presentation, publication and practice change. Currently, individuals, small groups and point-of-care nursing teams are conducting research and EBP initiatives at the hospital.
